Wells Fargo customers in the US are being warned that the bank’s branches will close nationwide for 24 hours on November 11, 2026, with transactions also not posted that day.

Wells Fargo branches will close on November 11

All Wells Fargo branches will be closed on Veterans Day, which falls on Wednesday, November 11, this year. The date is fixed each year and commemorates military veterans who have served in the US Armed Forces.

Wells Fargo’s holiday calendar confirms the closure across its branch network.

No transactions will be posted that day

Customers should also be aware that no transactions will be posted on November 11. The closure coincides with the Federal Reserve’s observance of Veterans Day, meaning many standard banking operations will be suspended.

Transactions scheduled around the federal holiday may therefore be processed on a different banking day.

Online banking and ATMs remain available

The branch closure does not mean customers will lose access to their accounts. Wells Fargo customers can continue to use online banking during the holiday. ATMs will also remain available, including machines that operate 24 hours a day.

Customers who need cash can use Wells Fargo’s ATM & Branch Locator through the bank’s website or app to find a nearby machine.

Veterans Day is a federal holiday

Veterans Day takes place every year on November 11. The federal holiday recognises people who have served in the US military. The Federal Reserve also observes the holiday, which affects the processing of various banking transactions.

Wells Fargo has highlighted its long history of supporting members of the military. The bank says it has supported the military since 1860, when it transported troops and carried funds for military pay.

Customers should plan banking transactions in advance

Anyone who needs to visit a Wells Fargo branch should do so before the closure or wait until branches reopen. Customers who need cash during the holiday can still use ATMs, while online banking remains available.

The 24-hour closure is a scheduled holiday shutdown rather than a permanent branch closure. Wells Fargo customers should therefore check their individual banking needs ahead of November 11, particularly if they have transactions that need to be processed before the federal holiday.
