Who Could Receive A Third Paycheck In October?

Employees paid on different schedules may not benefit from the October calendar arrangement. Those who were last paid on September 25, 2026, are not expected to receive three paychecks during October. Instead, their next three-paycheck month is expected in December 2026.
The difference depends entirely on the employee’s payroll cycle and the date of their previous payment.

Although an extra paycheck can provide more room in a monthly budget, financial experts advise workers to treat the money carefully rather than as unexpected spending cash.
Some financial organisations recommend using the additional payment to reduce debt, build emergency savings or cover future expenses. Workers may also choose to use the extra income for planned costs such as insurance payments, household bills or other regular expenses.
Another Three-Paycheck Month Expected In December
The calendar will create another opportunity for some workers later in the year. Because January 1, 2027, falls on a Friday, some employees may receive their pay earlier due to the federal holiday. This could create another three-paycheck month in December 2026 for certain bi-weekly workers, explains The Sun.
