Who Receives the Sept. 9 Payment
Beneficiaries born from the 1st through the 10th day of any month will receive their monthly Social Security payment on Wednesday, Sept. 9, according to the SSA payment calendar. The schedule is part of the agency’s regular system for sending benefits throughout the month.
Recipients born between the 11th and 20th day of the month are scheduled to receive payments on the third Wednesday of the month. Those born after the 20th day are set to receive their payments on the fourth Wednesday.
Some beneficiaries follow a different schedule. People who started receiving Social Security benefits before May 1997 generally receive payments on the third day of the month, unless that date falls on a weekend or holiday.
