The recalled products were sold in Virginia, North Carolina, and West Virginia, as well as through Department of War commissaries and online sales. FSIS said no injuries have been confirmed.
The recall was initiated after a customer found a piece of metal in one of the products. According to FSIS, the problem was discovered after the establishment received a consumer complaint regarding a metal piece found in a fully cooked product.
The affected products were manufactured between July 1 and July 29, 2026. The recall includes multiple sizes of Ukrop’s Baked Spaghetti and Ukrop’s Chicken Cobbler products.
Recalled Ukrop’s Products and Dates
As reported by Fox Business, the recall affects 62.4-ounce bulk pans and 4.8-ounce single-serving trays of Ukrop’s Baked Spaghetti. It also includes 48-ounce family-size pans and 11.6-ounce single-serving trays of Ukrop’s Chicken Cobbler.
According to FSIS, all recalled products have “best by” dates ranging from July 8 through Aug. 5.
Consumers who purchased the recalled products, including those stored in freezers, should throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
FSIS Identifies Metal Slivers as the Concern
The federal agency said the products may contain a foreign material, specifically metal slivers. The recall was announced after the consumer complaint involving the fully cooked product.
“No injuries have been confirmed,” according to FSIS. The agency said, “Anyone concerned about an injury should contact a healthcare provider.”
Recall Follows Another Food Product Metal Concern
The Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods recall follows another recall involving possible metal contamination. In June, Rich Products Corp. recalled thousands of cases of Farm Rich Pizza Cheese Crunchers because the frozen snacks may have contained metal pieces.
According to the information reported by federal authorities, more than 160,000 pounds of the frozen snacks were recalled across 21 states.
The recalled Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods products were distributed through retail sales, Department of War commissaries, and online sales, with consumers advised to discard affected items or return them for a refund.
