The recall involves two specific frozen products sold under the Morningstar Farms brand. According to the company’s announcement published by the FDA, the action was initiated because of the possible presence of plastic pieces in the food, following consumer reports.

The announcement applies only to the identified products and does not extend to any other items sold under the Morningstar Farms label. The company stated that the recall is voluntary and covers products distributed throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, and Costa Rica.

Two products identified in the nationwide recall

According to the FDA, the recalled products include Morningstar Farms Buffalo Chik’n Nuggets in 10.5-ounce packages bearing UPC code 000 28989 10110 5. The affected packages carry “Better if Used Before” dates of July 7, 2027, and July 8, 2027.

The action is limited to these two product varieties and the specified package information listed in the recall notice. The FDA also noted that there have been no reported injuries associated with the recalled products at the time of the announcement.

Consumers advised to discard products and request refunds

According to the FDA, the agency published the company’s announcement as a public service. The notice also states that when a company announces a recall, market withdrawal, or safety alert, the FDA posts the information but does not endorse either the company or its products.

The recall was announced by Morningstar Farms on June 18, 2026, and the FDA published the notice on June 22, 2026. The stated reason for the recall remains the possible presence of plastic pieces in the affected food products. At the time of publication, the company reported no injuries linked to the recalled items and reiterated that only the two identified products are subject to the voluntary recall.
